ATS / X-Tester News and 3.0 Preview

In order to be able to capture a test session at a higher level than the X Event level, the version 3.0 of ATS/X-TESTER will also use information contained in the ôeditres protocol.ö

Thus the tool will be enriched with logical widget information (object knowledge) : This enables the tool to select for example the "right" push-button in a complex menu, even if that menu has been changed by the application programmer. Selecting the "right" button can be achieved by the applications internal widget information extracted by the editres protocol. This means all the information will be available at the widget level, position independent.

Comparisons between capture and playback: In 3.0 the user will be able to integrate verification scenarios into his test scripts.
